The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front To Whom It Might Concern United Nations-Humanitarian Organizations- News Agencies After several meetings held by the leadership of the Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front during 2006-2007, the Front's leadership studied the situation in AL Ahwaz on the light of the Ahwazi people's uprising on April 5, 2005 and the radical changes in the region and the world and issued a statement on July 18, 2007 in which it announced the following decisions: First: Amend the Front's political program by adding new articles. Second: Amend the Front's Charter by adding new articles, such as limiting the candidacy for the position of Secretary General to two terms every four years. Third: Change the Front's name to become The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front and the front reserves its right to the old name and that nobody has the right to make use of it. Fourth: Change the Front's logo to a new one which appears heading this statement and that the front reserves its right to the old logo. Fifth: The Central Committee of The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front elected its Secretary General and political bureau for the next four-year term.
